SPRING CAMPS



Spring Ball

Description: Join spring ball to learn the basics from our national team coaches and will receive lots of court time developing fundamental skills. Players will have lots of fun while learning the game.  League will be offered at Legacy Volleyball Club in Rochester.
Ages:  7th grade & under
Dates: April 13th, 19th (Saturday), May 4th, 11th, 18th
Time:  5:30-7:00pm
Cost:  $20/session or $100/for all 5 sessions

4 vs 4 Spring League

Description: Play in our 4 v. 4 league to strengthen volleyball skills and gain court experience. Players will have the opportunity to serve, pass, set, and attack just like in a real game. Teams will be made based on age and skill level so that matches are competitive and fair. League will be offered at Legacy Volleyball Club in Rochester.

Small Group Skill Training NOVI

Description:  These small group lessons are designed for players that want more reps on a specific skill while receiving individualized feedback. The sessions will focused on maximizing reps while improving technique and mastery of skill. Sessions offered are ATTACK & BLOCK, SERVE/PASS/DEFENSE and SETTING

Position Training Sessions ROCHESTER

Bryan Lindstrom will be running a set of 3 individual position training sessions in May.  Individual position training is designed to maximize repetitions and get individualized attention from coaches. Drills will be designed around player needs and requests. Specific positional techniques will be broken down and evaluated. (8 player max)

Who: Middle and High School Students

Cost: $75 per session or $200 for all three sessions

SUMMER CAMPS



Middle School All Skills Camp ROCHESTER

Description:  This 4-DAY/10-HOUR camp is designed for players with intermediate skills and will offer instruction and training in the high-performance skills and techniques of passing, setting, attacking, serving and defense. Emphasis is placed on developing court movement and ball control, as well as game competition. Players will go through flexible movement workouts.

13 and Under All Skills Camp ROCHESTER

12 & Under All Skills Camp ROCHESTER

Description: The 12 & Under All-Skills Camp is ideal for young and beginner volleyball players who want to learn the basics of the game in a fun, kid-friendly atmosphere. Campers will learn how to pass, set, attack, block, and serve.

Fundamentals - Serving OR Setting OR Attacking OR Defense ROCHESTER

Description:  These camps will focus on the fundamentals of each skill including footwork, location, hands, decision making, reading, placement, ball control, arm swing, etc. as well as develop new strategies. (12 player max)

Setters Clinic ROCHESTER

Description: This clinic is designed for middle school and high school setters wanting to take their skills to the next level. Campers will develop their footwork, hand position and form, attacking skills, and offensive decision making.

Sports Performance Inspired Outside Attacker Training ROCHESTER

Description:  This national level camp is inspired by Sports Performances outside position training through the breaking down and attention to detail of their outside hitters. We will focus on armswing mechanics, attacking with control and power, effective transitions to points, and developing concepts of the 2nd & 3rd tempo attack.

Middle School All Skills Camp NOVI

Description:  This camp is 9 hours in 3 days and for players entering grades 6-8. We will touch on all skills while focusing on proper technique, skill development while also incorporating game play. Athletes will receive a high number of quality reps along with a lot of feedback from the coaching staff.

High School Skills Academy NOVI

Description: This 9 hour camp will be a high level, intense camp focused on the core skills of the game. Each day will entail a different structure. Day 1 will focus on specific skills (attacking, blocking, serving, serve receive, setting and defense), while Day 2 will focus on positional training (Setters, Middle Hitters, Pin Hitters and Defensive Specialists). Day 3 will allow the players to use their newly learned skills in game like situational play.

Volleytots NOVI

Description: VolleyTots is a camp to expose your son or daughter to the sport of volleyball. Kids ages 5-10 will receive instruction and have fun building a passion for the sport. This youth program teaches motor learning and skills development using fun activities! Those who attend this program will learn hand-eye coordination, volleyball specific movement, as well as the basic skills of passing, setting, hitting and serving. The training in this program will systematically prepare young girls and boys to excel in any sport especially volleyball as they grow and develop.

Middle School Camp NOVI

Description: This camp is designed to teach the game of volleyball in a fun and positive atmosphere. All aspects of the game will be taught by experienced coaches who love working with middle school age girls! We will focus on individual development and self confidence.

- Played volleyball from 2000-2003 at Eastern Michigan University. 4 year starter and EMU record holder in Digs, Games played and Attack attemps. MAC record holder in Digs and Attack attempts. Named to the All-MAC volleyball and acdemic teams. - Student Assistant Coach at EMU -- 2003-2004

- Varsity Volleyball Coach (Ypsilanti Lincoln HS, Pinckney HS and Lakeland HS)  2003-2011

Lauren Duquette

Coaching Biography:

Played varsity volleyball at Chippewa Valley High School for Bill Rice from 2002-2005.  In 2004 the team made it to the Elite Eight.Went to Oakland University on a full athletic scholarship and played for Dave Schmidlin and Rob Beam

Four year starting libero at Oakland University. Earned school records in 5 catagories:  Digs/set. Digs in a match, Digs/season, digs/career and aces/career. Named captain both junior and senior year and was ranked in the top 15 in the nation for digs/set. Graduated with a bachelor degree in communication.

Bryan Lindstrom

Coaching Biography:

Bryan Lindstrom is one of the co-founders and owners of Legacy Volleyball Club.  At the open level, Bryan has coached the at 13's, 14's, 15's, and 18's levels.   
 
For six seasons, Bryan was the head volleyball coach at Oakland Community College.  During his tenure there, Bryan coached five NJCAA All-Americans, including a two-time NJCAA Region Player of the Year.  Bryan was voted three times as the MCCAA Coach of the Year and his 2011 team made it to the NJCAA National Championship match.  Oakland Community college also amassed a thirty-three conference match win streak over the course of three seasons during his time at the helm of the program.  To go along with the success on the court, OCC players earned NJCAA individual and team Academic All-American awards.  Many of his Oakland players continued their college careers at the NCAA D-I, D-II, and NAIA levels.
 
Throughout his tenure at Legacy, Bryan has felt privileged to work with some of the state's best athletes at the club level and his teams have carried AAU All-Americans, a Michigan Gatorade POY, and MIVCA Miss Volleyball recipients and nominees.  During the club off-season, Bryan has worked with the Lakeshore Region's High Performance team and has been on the staff of numerous college camps throughout the summer months.
 
Bryan lives in Rochester Hills with his wife, Jaime, and his two sons, Brady and Brennan.  Bryan is a teacher and curriculum consultant at Rochester Adams High School and graduated from Central Michigan University where he also played football.

Nicole Peter

Coaching Biography:

Nicole graduated from Michigan State University in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology. At Michigan State, she received Academic All- Big Ten honors and made an NCAA Tournament appearance. Prior to MSU, Nicole competed for Grand Rapids Community College, where she was the first player in program history to be named a First-Team All-American. Additionally, she was named NJCAA Regional Player of the Year in 2008 before to transferring to Michigan State to continue her setting career. She had previously coached for MVA in Grand Rapids before joining Legacy. Nicole is also an assistant coach at Mercy High School.

Tyler Strom

Coaching Biography:

Playing History: 3 Year Starter at CMU, NCVF All-American Honorable Mention, led team in digs and aces (2011-2013).

 

Coaching History: 5th Year at Legacy; 4 with National Teams, Teams have won Volleyfest, KIVA Memorial Cup, and an AAU State Championship.  2011-Won universities first Division 1 Mid American Conference Championship with CMU. 2012-2013 led Central Michigan's Women's Club team to two top 10 final rankings in the country. 

 

Certifications: IMPACT, VCAP I & II, Gold Medal Squared, Premier & Sports Performance. Also works with US High Performance Team and is part of the Mideast Qualifier College Combine program.  

 

Currently resides in Commerce Township works for New York Life Insurance Group.
